To register for the Montreal All City Big Band auditions, each candidate must go to Vanier College on September 14th or 21st between 7H00PM and 10H00PM. We will inform you of the annual fees and also give you the calendar of concerts and activities for 2010-2011.

The auditions for the Montreal All City Big Band #1 and #2 are going to be held on September 28th et 29th and on October 5th and 6th. Your audition date will be given to you the day of your registration.

To prepare for the audition:

• Sight reading
• Transcription of a jazz solo of your choice
• Jazz improvisation on a Bb or F concert blues
• Major scales
• Drummers will have to prepare the following styles of drumming: Swing, Shuffle, Fast swing, Latin, Funk, etc. (Drummers don't have to prepare a transcription)
